Why do we sit here, and wonder what to do,
when the list is three miles long?
There’s an essay due on Wednesday, an exam on Thursday,
But we complain.
There’s nothing to do.
You see those things on the list won’t give us the satisfaction
that we long for.
So we put them off saying,
I’ll do that later.
We want to do something that makes us feel,
like we aren’t just scraping by.
We want to succeed, and learn, and grow,
but it doesn’t seem that we’ll achieve it,
by barely making that line.
We try to just survive, and then wonder,
Why are we just surviving?
I want to live.
So do it.
