Meet Clover the baby Jackalope.
An elusive creature, the jackalope is excellent at evading human detection. They inhabit mostly old world forests, where the trees grow tall and moss carpets the ground. If you grow snow peas, you might spot one trying to steal a snack from your garden.
As the months grow colder and everyone retreats indoors, expect to see them becoming more bold, adventuring out from the shadowed thickets to play and look for food in the deeper snow of an open field. Legend says these creatures are the bringers of frost themselves, since they are only spotted during the winter. This is thanks to the fact that their antlers are harder to camouflage against the stark white winter landscape.
Clover is just a baby and while she loves watching the snowfall, she is also more than happy to curl up inside in the warmth.
She is looking for her forever home this winter! For adoption info, head to Etsy here.
